What the area is known for

This small but vibrant town is a destination in its own right with a wealth of green spaces and a heavy dose of Southern charm.

Location and surrounding areas

Denver is sought for its strategic location roughly 25 miles north of Charlotte in the western piedmont of North Carolina. History

Denver incorporated as a town in 1877. It has since grown into a prosperous community with homes for sale in Denver, NC being some of the most coveted properties in the Lake Norman area. Denver lost its incorporated status in 1971 when the state rescinded the charters of several small towns; however, many locals prefer the unincorporated status.
